Group schedules reception Friday for Spring Exhibition

TERRE HAUTE — Arts Illiana, Arts Council for the Wabash Valley, is hosting an opening reception for its Spring Exhibition from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.

Arts Illiana presents four annual exhibitions featuring the artwork of Wabash Valley artists. All art work in the exhibit is for sale.

The reception will also feature music by guitarist Colin Boggs. Trevor Bridgewater, project coordinator for Arts Illiana, said that Boggs is fun and talented guitarist who “plays a variety of acoustic rock originals and covers, ranging from soft acoustic melodies to faster, heavier grunge.”

Arts Illiana will welcome a new artist to this exhibit, Susan Burton from Sullivan County.  Burton is working in a unique and interesting art form called river otter scat.

The evening is free and open to the public. Drinks and light hors d’oeuvres will be available. For more information about the exhibition, call 812-235-5007 or info@artsilliana.org.
