‘Rivers & Waters’ show at Vonda’s Garden

TERRE HAUTE — The Wabash River and its tributaries will be showcased in a 2013 Year of the River event on Friday in downtown Terre Haute.

Continuing its 150th-year celebration, Heinl’s Flower Shop and Vonda’s Garden Studio Event Space will present “Rivers & Waters,” an art show featuring several water-inspired media by members of River City Art Association.

An opening reception with the artists is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. in Vonda’s behind Heinl’s at 129 S. Seventh St.

Admission is free. Light refreshments will be provided.

The artwork will remain on display from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays through June 22.
