Indiana Theatre to host Miracle on 7th Street events

TERRE HAUTE — In the spirit of the holiday season, downtown Terre Haute’s historic Indiana Theatre is opening its doors to the Wabash Valley community.

In conjunction with the annual Miracle on 7th Street and Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, Indiana Theatre invites Valley residents to visit Dec. 6 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

With many renovations and updates to the facility completed and more exciting transformations on the horizon, this will be an opportunity to look inside this timeless venue and view the splendor of its holiday decor.

Guest will be treated to experience dozen of decorated holiday trees at the annual TreeFest to benefit the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra. True to the holiday spirit of giving, the orchestra will donate all trees to needy families in the community.

While gazing upon the shimmering holiday trees, attendees will also have the chance to indulge their sights on the Miracle on 7th Street annual Gingerbread House Contest. Kids of all ages, including local residents and business owners, participate in the annual contest.

The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce and Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett will conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5:45 p.m. just under the theater’s refurbished marque.

Light appetizers, a wine bar and cash bar will be available to guests attending the TreeFest and Gingerbread House festivities.

Don’t miss a holiday view of one of Terre Haute’s most nostalgic and inspiring locations. For information regarding facility rental and event catering services throughout the year visit the Indiana Theatre Event Center at 683 Ohio St., call 812-232-8076 or email
