Gaslight to host artist whose work’s on display

MARSHALL, Ill. — Gaslight Art Colony will host a reception for painter Danny Quillin from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. His work will be on display at the gallery through April 13.

Quillin was born and raised in southeastern Missouri. He used his travels to see great collections of art around the world and found inspiration from great portrait artists, such as Rembrandt, John Singer Sargent and Anders Zorn.

Quillin works in a studio near Marshall, Ill. He receives many commissions for portraits and enjoys landscape painting outdoors. For information about studio visits, call 757-705-7892.
