‘Drum Enchanted Evening’ March 21 at Vincennes U.

VINCENNES — The Vincennes University Percussion Ensemble will present “Drum Enchanted Evening” at 7:30 p.m. EDT on March 21 in the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center on the VU campus. The concert is free and open to the community.

The ensemble consists of 14 percussionists playing traditional and innovative percussion instruments. The group will perform musical styles including jazz/fusion, classical and the more contemporary “novelty tunes.”

The VU Percussion Ensemble also will perform April 13 at Indiana State University’s “Day of Percussion,” which will feature clinics and performances by percussion ensembles.

The Terre Haute event also is free and open to the community. Performances will take place in the Landini Center for the Performing and Fine Arts at ISU.
