Scoop up some blueberries, live music

Downtown festival kicks off at 11 a.m.

TERRE HAUTE — Terre Foods Cooperative Market will present the sixth annual Blueberry Festival from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, at Central Presbyterian Church, 125 N. Seventh St.

Blueberry compote sundaes will be available for $5.

Visitors can bring a reusable bowl and spoon, and be registered to win a rain barrel. Fresh, organic blueberries will be available for $8 per quart. Ten-pound boxes will be $40 for Terre Foods member-owners, and $50 for non-member-owners. Those who sign up to be Terre Foods member-owners at the festival will receive free blueberries.

Live music will begin at 11 a.m., featuring Papa J. Otis, Coon Hollar Kids, Tom Roznowski, Richard Layton, Joe Wright, Dangerous Doug, and Brent McPike and Solly Burton.

Local vendors selling goods will be Appleseed Farms, doTerra, Lehman Persimmons, Yellow House Honey, Harvest Bakery and abunchofbags. Food by J. Ford’s Black Angus will be available for purchase.
