Academy of Dance Spring Concert set

TERRE HAUTE — The Academy of Dance of Terre Haute will stage its annual Spring Concert at 6:30 p.m. May 31 and June 1 in Indiana State University’s Tilson Auditorium.

Students will tell the story of “A Little Princess” through ballet, tap, jazz, creative movement and modern dance.

Catie Duree, a Terre Haute North Vigo High School sophomore, will dance the role of Sarah Crewe; and Cameron Barnett, a student at Owen Valley High School, will dance the role of Captain Crewe. Anne-Therese Ryan, a Terre Haute South Vigo High School senior, will dance the role of Miss Minchin; and Sydney Twigs, also a senior at Terre Haute South, will be playing her sister, Amelia Minchin. Deepa Namburi, a senior from Terre Haute South, will portray Ayah. Other featured dancers include Terre Haute North senior Angela Hanson as Mrs. Carrisford and Amara Erickson as Riya Das.

Reserved tickets may be purchased in advance at the studio at 2000 S. Third St. or at the box office the day of each show. Tickets are $18.
