View artworks at Maple Syrup Festival

ROCKVILLE — Fourteen artists specializing in different mediums will be at work during the upcoming Maple Syrup Festival in Rockville.

A variety of artwork will be on display Saturday and Sunday and again March 2 and 3 at the Parke County Fairgounds, including oils, water colors, wood, photography, pencil and gourds.

Participating artists are Nel Rose Brown, James Colleran, Delores Collings, Malcolm Moore, Jennie Morehouse, Loren Myers, Carol Nickey, Tom Poynter, Roger Randall, Ellen Shaffer, Susie Teschmacher, Helen Thomas, Connie Wasson and Robert Whitmore.

The raffle picture for this year is a 16- by 20-inch oil depicting “Sunset Point in Turkey Run State Park.” It was painted by Connie Wasson. Tickets will be available during the festival. Proceeds will be used for maintenance of the Art Gallery in Rockville.

The Art Gallery will have normal hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (except closed on Tuesdays) and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. For more information, call 765-569-9422.
