TERRE HAUTE —
The Kiwanis Club of Terre Haute’s annual Chili Day will take place from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. March 5 at the VFW Hall at 12th and Mulberry streets.
The event will support the Geography Quiz Bowl and will include a silent auction and 50-50 drawing. Carry-out also will be available. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased at the door or from any Kiwanis member. For more information contact event chair Matt Blair at 812-691-0271.
The Geography Quiz Bowl was created by former member Jim Schellenberg in 1990 to foster academic excellence in middle school students.
Approximately eight teams assemble at Sarah Scott Middle School along with their supporters for a competitive evening of answering questions prepared by lndiana State University geography students. The event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on March 13.
