Linton-Stockton Chamber dinner to feature comedian, live jazz

News Release

LINTON — The 2013 Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner will feature agricultural comedian Jay Hendren as well as live jazz music by Maude Habich at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Linton Elks Lodge 866 on U.S. 54 East, in Linton.

The Chamber of Commerce will present its “Citizen of the Year” and “Business of the Year” awards and honor accomplishments, contributions and commitment.

Hendren is an Ohio farmer who has toured the country appearing in comedy clubs and corporate events, but has never forgotten his roots of growing up on the family farm. He has shared the stage with such stars as Ron White and Larry the Cable Guy. Hendren has a unique blend of down-home humor and provides clean comedy that the whole family can enjoy.

Habich is originally from Brittany, France, and met her husband, Dustin, a Greene County native, while singing jazz in a hotel in Mali, West Africa where he was stationed for the U.S. Air Force. Habich sings a wide variety of jazz and soul music that will set the mood for a relaxing and fun evening.

Chamber of Commerce members, as well as the public, are invited to the event. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets include dinner, dessert and drinks with a cash bar available and cost $25 per person or $180 for a table of eight or $140 for a table of 6.
