Dicky James, P-Funk and Washboard Shorty will perform, beginning at 9 p.m. Admission is free.

James and P-Funk (better known as Mark Ford) are two members of Dicky James and the Blue Flames, and Washboard Shorty (better known as Larry Long) is the drummer for Southland.

The three musicians will be performing together for a special show.

“We don’t want to take anything away from our main groups,” Long noted. “This is just a side project. We just want to have a bit of fun.”

Reservations are available by calling (812) 235-1445.

Archie’s Sports Bar has plenty of entertainment on tap for the Fourth of July Weekend.

Archie’s will feature Garrioke Karaoke on Friday.

On Saturday, the fun begins at 3 p.m., when Jimmy Hollingsworth kicks off an afternoon jam session, offering all musicians a chance to come out and play.

“We’re all about the musicians,” Hollingsworth noted. “Grab your guitars, bass or whatever and come on out. We always have a great time.”

Following the jam session at 8:30 p.m., Archie’s will present The Band Tichenor-Jeffries, one of the Wabash Valley’s longest running musical duos.

Formerly known at the Good Feelings Band, The Band Tichenor-Jeffries features Rik and Linda Jeffries, plus a few occasional guests.

The Band Tichenor-Jeffries plays music from the ’60s through today.

There is no cover for Saturday’s show.

Live stand-up comedy returns to Terre Haute on July 6 as comedian Ryan Niemiller is scheduled to perform two shows at 6 and 9 p.m. at 4th Quarter bar at 2000 Wabash Ave.

Niemiller, who was born with a disability in both arms, shares his views of the world from the perspective of the handicapped. Niemiller began his comedy career in Los Angeles, and hasn’t looked back since, performing in clubs and colleges across the country.

Covering topics such as dating, trying to find employment, and attempting to find acceptance in a world not designed for him, Niemiller tackles the issues in a way that makes you think while you laugh.

A graduate of Indiana State University, Niemiller has been a regular part of Crossroads Repertory Theater for several summers. He has performed locally at TGI Friday’s, The Landing and other venues.

Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.

Garrioke Karaoke will follow, beginning at 11 p.m.
