Booster club plans Turkey Trot

MARSHALL, Ill. — The Marshall, Ill., Elementary Booster Club Turkey Trot 5K and 1M are planned for Nov. 17.

Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. CDT in the gym at South Elementary School.

The 1M is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. around the South School neighborhood. The 5K will be run at 9 a.m. in a loop through Marshall starting at South School.

The pre-registration fee is $15 for adults and $10 for students and includes a T-shirt. Pre-registration deadline is Nov. 7. Registration the day of the event is $20.

Recognition will be given to all children sixth grade and under who participate. The top three finishers in each age group, male and female, will receive medals. Overall male and female winners will receive a prize.

Times and places for all participants will be posted after the race.
