TERRE HAUTE —
In late May, River Wools issued a challenge to the weavers, knitters and crocheters to create an object using two randomly selected balls of novelty yarns and any other materials of their choice.
Thirteen finished entries were submitted.
Robin Edmundson, weaver, spinner and dyer, and Trevor Bridgewater of Arts Illiana judged the entries on creativity, quality, inspiration and incorporation of the novelty yarns provided. First-, second- and third-place prizes will be awarded at a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at River Wools, 671 Wabash Ave. All entries will be displayed, and light refreshments will be served.
