TERRE HAUTE —
A group called The Wall Clocks, twice voted Ambassador Magazine’s “best Detroit band,” is scheduled to play at 9 p.m on May 11 at The Verve, 677 Wabash Ave.
In their debut album, “Odds and Beginnings,” released in 2009, the band showcases a diverse collection of tunes, words and sounds involved in rocking numbers, mid-tempo songs and acoustic- and piano-driven ballads. The band is currently in the studio recording its second album, slated for release this year.
The band’s sound is created by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Mazzei, complemented by lead guitarist Joe Giese and rounded out by a rhythm section composed of Nic Klaes on bass and Anthony Fiolek on drums and percussion.
