Lost Creek Grove Community Day is July 20

News Release

---- — Lost Creek Grove Restoration and Preservation Foundation will open its grounds and facility for family fun from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, designated as Community Day.

Activities at the six-acre park environment will include free hot dogs and popcorn, a bounce house, baseball and volleyball, and playground equipment. Antique quilts and aprons will be on display. Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and relax under the shelter. Also, a full kitchen and restrooms are available.

Since 1900, the Lost Creek Grove has served as a gathering place for family reunions, clubs, receptions and other events. The facility also serves as a vehicle to ensure a rich heritage is shared for generations to come by housing numerous photos, documents and articles telling the stories and accomplishments of the many families with historical roots to the community.
