‘Mark Twain’ returns to Paris Oct. 30

“Mark Twain” returns to Paris, Ill., more than 100 years after his first visit during an event at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at First Baptist Church of Paris. Dave Ehlert will portray Samuel Clemens in his one-man show "Mark Twain: 100 Years Later."

Ehlert is a Branson, Mo., stage performer who also tours the United States as Mark Twain. The free show is suitable for all ages and is approximately 90 minutes, including an intermission. The show is sponsored by Friends of the Paris Library.

According to Friends president Shelley Kelsheimer, “This show is related to The Big Read celebration of ‘The Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ at Paris Public Library in March 2013.”

For more information, call the library at 217-463-3950 or visit www.parispubliclibrary.org. The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
