Library picks 2014 Big Read book

The Vigo County Public Library has selected “The Magnificent Ambersons” by Indiana author Booth Tarkington for the 2014 Wabash Valley Big Read.

The library has supported the Valley-wide reading initiative since 2007. The program and events will take place throughout February and March.

More than 3,000 copies of the book will be distributed at libraries, museums, school corporations, businesses and other organizations throughout the Wabash Valley to expand efforts to develop literacy and encourage civic engagement.

Copies of the book have been made available through support from the Wabash Valley Community Foundation and Sam’s Club.
