Sponsor, decorate tree at Dec. 5-8 Tree Fest

The Terre Haute Symphony will partner with Miracle on 7th Street for this year’s Tree Fest at the Indiana Theatre, at Seventh and Ohio streets. The event will be open from 4 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 5, 4 to 10 p.m. on Dec. 6, 1 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 7 and 1 to 4 p.m. on Dec. 8.

Tree Fest serves a dual purpose: It acts as a fundraiser for Indiana’s oldest symphony, and after the event, all sponsored trees will be donated to needy families in the Wabash Valley who would otherwise not have trees during the holiday season.

Individuals and businesses who sponsor a tree will get a real, six-to-eight-foot Scotch pine tree to decorate as they wish. The tree voted best decorated wins a trophy donated by Champion Awards & Gifts.

The cost for sponsoring a tree is $200 per tree, plus the cost of decorations. Decorating days are Dec. 1 and 2.

Patrons can walk among dozens of trees, each with a unique theme and personality, and vote for their favorite. Community groups and Terre Haute Symphony members will also perform live music.
