TERRE HAUTE — Christian rock artist Clint Pitts of Fillmore will perform from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in The Open Door Christian Book Store at 3125 S. Third Place, behind Honey Creek Mall.

Pitts is a self-taught musician who began his career playing in many different bands that included the genres of country, rock and his favorite, Christian. He is a singer-songwriter who plays many types of instruments, guitar being his favorite.

Pitts recorded his first Christian album, “Christ Is Coming,” in 1982. His music career was put on hold for several years while he worked for a pharmaceutical company. He is now back to writing and performing.

His latest album, “Mystical Wilderness,” released on Tuesday, is a Christian walk through nature and an insightful view of the world around us. Pitts offers eight songs as inspiration for listeners to reflect on their walk with Jesus.
