Dancers, vocalists to raise money for Special Olympics Indiana

News Release

TERRE HAUTE — A+ All Star Productions/School of the Dance and vocalists from Community Theater’s Fall Production of “Hairspray” will be performing together to raise money for Special Olympics Indiana at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Tilson Auditorium on Indiana State University’s campus.

The performers will dance and sing to songs from the 1960s, making the theme of the show “Welcome to the 60s.”

Singers will be reprising some of their favorite numbers from the show. Additionally, dances by A+ All Star Productions/School of the Dance will represent a variety of different genres and ages as fathers and mothers are dancing as well.

The studio has a long tradition of offering dancers unique performance opportunities and a nurturing learning environment. Students are trained with life lessons, not just in dance. That principle has made community service a priority and outreach an important purpose of the studio’s mission.

Tickets are on sale at the studio, 25 West Honey Creek Drive, for $13; tickets will be available for $14 at the door. For more information contact Tammy Schaffer at 812-232-0450.
