The Wabash Valley Art Guild will host its 12th annual Art in the Park Aug. 3 in Fairbanks Park to celebrate the Year of the River.
The Art Guild has coordinated with Arts Illiana, sponsor of a fish fry and Summer Concert Series performance by the Terre Haute Community Band scheduled during the event.
Artist Market booth space is open to all artists over age 18 at no charge. The Artists Market will take place in Blumberg Shelter with picnic tables available for use. Those who wish may set up their own tent.
Market hours will be from noon to 6 p.m. (or later if the artist wishes). Space is limited and will be assigned by earliest receipt of registration. The deadline to register for booth space has been extended to July 12.
A “Paint the River” plein air event also will take place during the market hours. Registration for “Paint the River” will be 11 a.m. to noon at Art in the Park, Blumberg Shelter. A $10 registration fee will collected at the time of registration.
