Lieber State Recreation Area will host its annual sand sculpture contest on July 6 at the beach.
The contest runs from 1 to 2 p.m. Registration will begin at noon.
Teams should consist of four people or of a family of any size. Teams must provide their own equipment. Teams may use only sand, water, rocks and other natural objects.
Judging will be based on quality, originality and the age of the group. Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place.
The event will be canceled if it rains. The standard entrance fee of $5 per in-state vehicle and $7 per out-of-state vehicle will be charged. Lieber State Recreation Area is at 1317 W. Lieber Road, Suite 1, Cloverdale.
