Fast Track Mile downtown July 4

TERRE HAUTE — The Wabash Valley Road Runners’ Fast Track Mile is today, July 4. Registration is available at 7 a.m. at Gilbert Park.

The women’s race begins at 8:15 a.m., followed by the men’s race and the coed walk at approximately 8:30 a.m. The start line is at Fourth Street and Wabash Avenue in downtown Terre Haute.

A special prize will be awarded for the most patriotic running attire.    Other awards: overall male and female; male and female masters; male and female grand masters; and age group awards up to 70 and over.

Cost is $10 for ages 18 and under and $20 for adults. There are a limited number of T-shirts, and they will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. All proceeds go to the Wabash Valley Road Runners scholarship program and the Wabash Valley Road Runners Youth Running Program.

The next Road Runners event, the Midnight River Run, is coming up July 26 at Fairbanks Park. For more information visit
