Marshall gallery offers ‘Canvas at the Colony’

MARSHALL, ILL. — The Gaslight Art Colony in Marshall, Ill., has a new class offering. “Canvas at the Colony” is for those who have always wanted to try their hand at painting. There are no special skills required. In one evening guests will take home a painting that they created by following guided instructions from a local artist. They can attend a scheduled class or have a private party with friends. The next class scheduled is at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 at the gallery at 516 Archer Ave. The fee is $35 if paid in advance or $45 at the door.

Gaslight Art Colony is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to broadening an appreciation of the arts by providing opportunities that promote awareness, participation and understanding through fine arts exhibitions, classes and workshops.
