Mark LaGrange Golf Scramble coming up

TERRE HAUTE — The Fourth Annual Mark LaGrange Golf Scramble will tee off Aug. 2 (rain date Aug. 3 ), at Mark’s Par Three at 2401 North Chamberlain St. in eastern Vigo County.

Signup will be at 3 p.m. and play will run until all players have completed the course. Food and drinks will be provided.

The Mark LaGrange Memorial Scholarship Fund offers a scholarship to a deserving athlete chosen from the Vigo County School Corp. LaGrange was a dedicated coach and friend of the local athletes.

The fund is financed through a memorial golf scramble and through the donations of citizens. Suggested donations and fees:

• Enter a team of four golfers for $175 ($135 without cart).

• Sponsor a hole for $100.

• Sponsor a cart for $50.

• Sponsor the scramble as a business or individual for $250.

• Make a donation to the fund.

All donations and entry fees are tax deductible. The golf scramble and the fund are hosted by The Friends of Seelyville Inc., a nonprofit.
