‘Healthy Generation’ youth program at library

TERRE HAUTE — Young people can listen to a story and make a craft with Brianna Stewart, Miss Crossroads to America: Outstanding Teen 2013, a during “Healthy Generation” youth program at 11 a.m. Saturday in the LifeLong Learning Center of the Vigo County Public Library at Seventh and Poplar streets.

Stewart’s personal platform is a “Healthier Generation.” She travels the valley educating young families about healthier lifestyles through physical activity and healthier food choices.

“Through learning and working together we can reduce childhood obesity, heart disease, diabetes and other related health issues,” Stewart says.

A 14-year-old freshman, Stewart has kept herself active in a variety of sports over the years including soccer, cheerleading, tumbling and dance.
