Join park staff and volunteers for an action-packed Eagles In Flight Weekend in celebration of this winter phenomenon Friday through Sunday at Turkey Run State Park Inn.
Live owls, hawks, and a mature bald eagle will entertain and educate during three live raptor programs. Bird banding and a wooden bird carving demonstration are included, as well as a night owl hike and a winter day hike. Carpool field trips to an eagle roost, eagle hunting areas and two eagle nests will round out the weekend.
Come for a day or for the whole event. A single program fee of $15 for ages 13 and up, or $10 for ages 4-12 (under 4 is free) provides entrance to any and all programs. Contact Turkey Run nature center for program details at 765-597-2654. Contact Turkey Run Inn for overnight accommodations at 877-500-6151.
