Nashville singer-songwriter to perform Friday at Verve

TERRE HAUTE — Shannon Labrie will be performing in support of her debut CD, “Just Be Honest,” Friday at The Verve.

Labrie, a Nashville, Tenn.-based singer-songwriter, plays piano and guitar.

Born in Lincoln, Neb., Labrie began writing classical piano tunes as a child. “Just Be Honest,” distributed by Zodlounge Records, debuted in the top 10 of iTunes’ singer-songwriter chart in February.

Music Connection named Labrie as one of the “Best Unsigned Artists of 2012,” and Labrie is also booked to perform at the “Austin City Limits” Music Festival this year.

The television shows “Army Wives” and “The Client List” have license tracks from Labrie’s album. “Take Me” will be featured in an upcoming episode of “Army Wives,” and “The Client List” has licensed “How Does It Feel.”
