Author Mike Lunsford returns to Marshall library

Author Mike Lunsford’s newest book, “A Windy Hill Almanac,” is his fourth published collection of stories. He will read from his book and talk about his experiences as a writer at a program on Jan. 30, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Marshall (Ill.) Public Library.

Books will be available for purchase following the program for $15. Lunsford will autograph copies of the book.

A veteran teacher of English and American history, Lunsford has also written columns for the Terre Haute Tribune-Star newspaper for many years. Fellow writer Jim McGarrah describes Lunsford’s writing as, “prose that inspires the reader to feel the world, as well as think about it.” Lunsford lives in rural Parke County.

For more information or to register for this free program, contact the library at 217-826-2535 or

The library is at 612 Archer Ave.
