Check out ‘Finally Fridays’ at Ambrosini’s

News Release

---- — Finished the work week and ready to unwind?

Beginning Valentine’s Day, Ambrosini’s Pizzeria at 1367 Wabash Ave., will present Finally Fridays, with free appetizers, live music and karaoke.

“We all work hard,” said owner Steve Smith. “We all want to unwind come Friday!”

Each Finally Friday begins at 5 p.m., with free appetizers. Then, from 7 to 10, live music will take the stage. The evening tops off with Big Daddy Bracken Karaoke, voted Terre Haute’s favorite karaoke by the Tribune-Star readership for the last two years.

Bob Warn kicks off this Friday, along with an Ambrosini’s Valentine’s Day favorite — heart-shaped pizzas.

“Bob played last year for Valentine’s, and everyone loved him,” Smith said.

The Flying Jacksons — Eric and Trever Jackson — will return to Ambrosini’s on Feb. 21, and then the third Friday of each month after that. Fourth generation musicians, the Flying Jacksons have been playing across the Wabash Valley since they were teens.

The first Friday of each month will featuring Wabash Valley Hall of Fame member Jimmy Hollingsworth. Known for his jam sessions, as well as his bands Ace in the Whole and Acoustic Dogg, Hollingsworth will perform with a series of special guests.

The second Friday of each month will feature a variety of well-known local musicians. On March 14, Eric and Rachel Rasley will perform. Eric is the bass player for the Dave Frisse Band, and Rachel is the vocalist/horn player for Yearbook Committee.

On April 11, local blues guitarist and Zigzag Recording artist Ken Tucker performs his acoustic show.

On May 23, Hall of Fame member Dave Ryley brings his three-piece acoustic show to the stage.

The last Friday of each month will feature Acoustic Crowe — Hall of Fame members Mark Wright and Mike Rowe. Additionally, these Fridays will also serve as the venue’s “Plenty of Fish” singles nights.

“These events have proven extremely popular,” Smith said. “We’ve had people come from as far away as West Lafayette, Indianapolis and Effingham, Illinois, just to participate.”
