Indiana preschoolers will get the thrill of their lives when Thomas the Tank Engine steams into the Hoosier State this weekend. When Thomas arrives at Connersville’s Grand Central Station for the Day Out with Thomas: The Thrill of the Ride Tour 2014, he will not only take his fans for a ride, but also talk to them for the very first time on the tour! The event, which takes place Friday through Sunday and June 27-29, will be hosted by Connersville’s Whitewater Valley Railroad.
Children of all ages will have the opportunity to climb aboard and take a ride with Thomas as well as participate in Thomas & Friends themed activities. Little engineers and their families are invited to take a 25 minute ride with their favorite engine, meet Sir Topham Hatt, controller of the railway and enjoy a day of Thomas & Friends-themed activities, including arts & crafts, storytelling and more. Whitewater Valley Railroad will also offer handcar rides, bounce house, miniature golf, Marty the Magician live and much more.
Thomas the Tank Engine rides depart every 45 minutes, rain or shine. Departure times begin at 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. each day of the event. Single-ride tickets are $20 for ages two and up. A limited number all-day passes are also available for each day of the event at $34 ages 2 and up.
