See ‘An Evening With The Masters’ at Community Theatre of Clay County

BRAZIL, Ind. — Community Theatre of Clay County Inc. will present a choral revue, “An Evening With The Masters,” on March 1 and 2 in The Lark Theatre at 8 E. National Ave. in Brazil.  

The performance is a fast-paced look at some of the most important and influential composers and lyricists of the 20th century, including Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Jule Styne, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. The production, performed by 21 area singers and dancers, will include such favorites as “Night and Day,” “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “My Heart Belongs to Daddy,” “You’re the Top,” “You’d Be So Easy to Love,” “In the Still of the Night,” “True Love,” “Easter Parade,” “White Christmas,” “Happy Holiday,” “This is the Army, Mr. Jones,” “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” “Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow,” “Three Coins in a Fountain,” “Time After Time,” “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” and “Shall We Dance.”  

The revue also will include standards from musicals such as “Funny Girl,” “Gypsy,” “Oklahoma!,” “The Sound of Music” and “The King and I.”

A dessert buffet will be served at 6:30 p.m. with the show starting at about 7:15. Tickets are $15 and must be purchased in advance. Performances are filling quickly and tickets could sell out.
