TERRE HAUTE —
It’s not too late to sign up for the Fiber Frolic at White Violet Center for Eco-Justice at St. Mary-of-the-Woods this weekend.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday and will run through 11 a.m. Sunday.
Fiber Frolic offers hands-on beginning-level instruction in three areas of concentration: spinning, weaving and felting. Spinning instruction will be led by Robin Edmunson, weaving by John Salamone and felting by Sister Maureen Freeman. No prior experience is needed, and participants will leave with a finished project.
Cost for the weekend event is $250 and includes meals plus $25 for materials. Housing at St. Mary-of-the-Woods is available; inquire if interested.
St. Mary-of-the-Woods is 10 minutes from downtown Terre Haute. White Violet Center for Eco-Justice is a ministry of the Sisters of Providence of St. Mary-of-the-Woods.
