---- — Tri Kappa plans Christmas Bazaar

Tri Kappa’s 32nd annual Arts and Crafts Christmas Bazaar will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at South Vermillion High School in Clinton.

The bazaar will include a fudge shop, door prizes, pictures with Santa (2 to 4 p.m.), Christmas items and cookbooks. Lunch and more than 100 booths will be available.

Admission is by donation. Adults are $2 and children under 12 are $1. Ticket donations are used for a scholarship fund.

Hear ‘Guitars in the Night’ in Vincennes

“Guitars in the Night” will feature Vincennes University students and faculty members performing the music of Eric Clapton, classical guitars playing Fantasias on traditional English melodies, and a country music tribute to Tennessee Ernie Ford. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at VU’s Red Skelton Performing Arts Center.

Admission is free.

Sponsored by the VU Music Department, ensembles taking part in the performance will include the Classical Guitar Ensemble, Advanced Guitar Class, String Ensemble and Blues Ensemble.

Santa Claus to visit Rockville Library

Santa Claus is coming to the Rockville Public Library from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 1.

The Rockville High School Student Council will be there to help children color and decorate cookies. The library is at 106 N. Market St. For more information call 765-569-5544.

A benefit pancake breakfast will take place from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Westfield, Ill., Fire Station.

Officer Mike (Dewey) Duvall lost everything in house fire Oct. 31. This is a donation-only breakfast. All proceeds from the benefit will go to Duvall.

The breakfast is sponsored by Westfield Masonic Lodge 1046.

St. Pat’s School raffle event set

St. Patrick School’s annual raffle event will take place Saturday, Nov. 10. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with drawings throughout the evening. The grand prize raffle is $50,000.

The event will include live music and free food, beer and a cash bar with purchase of a raffle ticket.

Tickets are $100 and only 2,000 tickets will be sold. One ticket will admit two adults, age 21 and older. Groups can divide the winnings.

North Quarterback Club fundraiser set

Terre Haute North Patriot Quarterback Club, the parent group supporting North football, is hosting a “31 Bingo” fundraiser on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the North Vigo cafeteria at 3434 Maple Ave.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. with the bingo starting at 6:30. Advance tickets may be purchased for $18 from any Patriot football player or by calling 812-841-4423. Tickets will be $20 at the door.

There will be 20 games of bingo, plus special intermission games, raffle bags, door prizes and concessions. All proceeds will go to North’s football program.

Fuqua’s plans annual charity

Fuqua Elementary School’s fifth annual Charity Auction is Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the school at 1111 Wheeler St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

A silent auction will take place from 6 to 6:45 p.m., and a live auction will begin at 7 p.m. All proceeds go to the Shoe Bus program and Vigo County School Corp.’s Weekend Backpack food program.

Items for auction include Indianapolis Colts tickets, a 40-inch flat-screen television, an iPod Touch laptop computer, Kindle Fire, digital camera, overnight hotel stays, themed baskets and more.

There also will be pizza, nachos, desserts and drinks available for purchase.

Vigo 4-H plans Christmas Bazaar

The Vigo County 4-H Council will stage its annual Christmas Craft Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds.  

There will be three buildings full of vendors with products to help guests begin their holiday shopping.

Admission is $1 for adults and free for children 13 and under. Admission automatically enters guests into all door prize drawings. Concessions will be available. All proceeds benefit Vigo County 4-H.
