‘Art, Wine, & all that Jazz — 1920s Style’ June 14 at Harlan Hall in Marshall

Gaslight Art Colony will host its fifth annual “Art, Wine, & all that Jazz-1920s Style” on June 14 in Harlan Hall at 603 Locust in Marshall, Ill. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

The fundraising event will feature artwork from local artists, wine and non-alcoholic beverages, and music by Second Wave jazz band.

The 1920s theme is new this year with hors d’oeuvres reminiscent of appetizers and foods created and discovered in the Roaring ’20s. Likewise, decorations will re-create a Prohibition Era speakeasy atmosphere. The colony’s board of directors will entertain in 20s-style fashion.

Patrons are encouraged to dress in 1920s attire; a prize will be awarded to the best outfit.

Tickets are $20 per person and available at Shore Murphy Insurance Co., Gaslight Art Colony or from board members Jo Rich, Scott Payne, Jack Davidson, Katie Duke, Sara Tarble, Debbie Welsh Montgomery, Kathy Haskins, Susan Guinnip, Tom Dagley, Vickie Meehan or Kate Meehling. Tables of eight can be reserved on request.
