Ragtops open Boot City Opry’s fall season Oct. 19

---- — Rock ’n’ roll music from the ’50s and ’60s returns to the Boot City Opry this Saturday night as it opens its fall season.

Chicagoland’s The Ragtops will take the stage at 7 p.m. Known as one of Chicago’s finest rock ’n’ roll groups, The Ragtops will take guests back in time to drive-ins, sock-hops, malt shops and poodle skirts.

The music of Elvis, Buddy Holly, Ricky Nelson, Dion, The Belmonts, The Coasters and others will be featured. Songs such as “Mustang Sally,” “Be Bop A Lula,” “Run Around Sue,” “Don’t be Cruel,” “Tossin’ ‘N Turnin’” and many others are sure to wake memories.

With more than 100 years of combined musical experience, The Ragtops will recreate the best of rock ’n’ roll.

The show starts at 7 p.m. General admission is $15.
