Mustached Turtle Run/Walk and Festival Sept. 28 in Indianapolis

---- — Peace Learning Center will host its first Mustached Turtle Run/Walk and Community Festival on Sept. 28 at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis to raise funds for the center.

A limited-time discount is available to those who register online using the discount code “turtle5.” Runners and walkers can register for competitive running for $45, non-competitive running for $40 or walking for $30. Entry into the park is $5 per vehicle.

Pre-race registration packets can be picked up Sept. 27 at the Georgetown Market on Georgetown Road, or starting at 6:45 a.m. the day of the race at Peace Learning Center Headquarters at Eagle Creek Park.

Planet Adventure is handling the pre-registration for the run/walk, which can be found at mustached-turtle.

Staggered starts for the 5K, 10K and 15K runs, and 5K walk, will begin at 8 a.m. The runs and walk will wind through Eagle Creek Park on the city’s west side. Spectators and the public are encouraged to visit PLC’s headquarters and enjoy the community festival.

PLC is planning an all-ages community festival area, open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring live music, vendors, a “Tiny Turtles” play area, recovery yoga, Zumba sessions and turtle races.

Runners and walkers are encouraged to bring the whole family, lawn chairs and blankets for a day of healthy fun.

Peace Learning Center is headquartered inside Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, in the former Eagle Crest Estate.
