Zoomtown Run/Walk is ‘Tough Enough to Wear Pink’ event

---- — The seventh annual Zoomtown 5K Covered Bridge Run/Walk is set for May 18 at 4338 West 40 North and U.S. 36 near Rockville.

The “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” event honors Sarah Norton and her fight against cancer.

Plaques will be awarded for overall male and female in the run and overall male and female in the walk. Medals will be presented to the top three in each age group in the run and top two in each age group in the walk. Participation ribbons will be given out for the fun-run/walk.

The entry fee for the 5K run/walk is $20 in advance, $22 after April 30; fun-run for children 10 and younger $10 in advance, $12 after April 30. A T-shirt is guaranteed with pre-registration.

Registration will begin at 7 a.m., kids run/walk at 7:45 a.m. and adult run/walk at 8 a.m.
