Marshall Band plans last concert of season

---- — The Marshall City Band will perform its last concert of the 138th season at 8 Friday evening on the Clark County Courthouse lawn in Marshall, Ill.

The concert will open with “The Star-Spangled Banner” and follow with “Beguine for Band,” “Hitsville, U.S.A.,” “The Sound of the Tijuana Brass!” “Sounds from Kenny Rogers,” “Hail Trombones!” “Prime Time Panorama,” “Music from Apollo 13,” “Moonlight Serenade,” highlights from “Music Man” and “The Belle of Chicago. The concert will conclude with “Stars and Stripes Forever March.”

The band is collecting donations in memory of Harold Ellshoff, former band director of 45 years and member for 68 years, who died this spring. A scholarship fund has been set up in his honor.
