TERRE HAUTE —
Community Theatre of Terre Haute will stage auditions for the Tony Award-winning musical comedy revue “Ain’t Misbehavin’” on Monday and Tuesday. The cast includes two African-American men and three African-American women, ages 18 to 55.

The extraordinary comic and musical soul of 1930s Harlem lives on in this rollicking, swinging evening of rowdy, raunchy and humorous songs, including “Honeysuckle Rose,” “The Joint is Jumpin’,” “I Can’t Give You Anything but Love” and many others that capture the various moods of the era.
It is based on an idea by Murray Horwitz and Richard Maltby with music by “Fats” Waller, who viewed life as a journey meant for pleasure and play.
Those auditioning should prepare a song that is not in the show. They will also learn a short dance routine and be asked to read from the script.
Performance dates for “Ain’t Misbehavin’” will be Sept. 27-29 and Oct. 4-6. Questions about auditions can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. For more, visit www.ctth.org.
