Costumes encouraged in Oct. 6 ‘Gears & Grapes’ bike ride

The Clark County “Gears & Grapes” ride will take place at 1:30 p.m. CDT on Oct. 6 at Castle Finn Winery, 1288 N. 1200th St., Marshall, Ill. Registration begins at 1 p.m.

Various routes (loops) are planned, in lengths of roughly 10, 20 and 45 miles. Route maps will be available.

Fall/Halloween costumes are strongly encouraged, and prizes will be awarded. Light snacks will be provided after the ride, along with door prizes and optional wine tastings.

The ride registration fee is $10 for adults and $5 for students and children. Ages 5 and under are free. Proceeds from the event will help fund future Clark County Park District Trails activities. Helmets are required. All minors 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. No ride support will be available.
