The annual Indy Jazz Fest, scheduled this year for Sept. 12 to 21, has the theme “All Around Town.”

The event will be located at the Jazz Kitchen and Yats, at 54th Street and College Avenue in Indianapolis.

The inaugural Block Party finale, taking place from 3:30 p.m. to midnight on Sept. 21, will benefit the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation’s jazz education programs. Eleven of Indy’s best jazz bands will perform on two stages.

The outdoor Yats Stage list of performers includes Sunset Stomp, Monika Herzig, Adam Thompson, Clifford Ratliff, Sophie Faught and Jared Thompson.

The indoor Jazz Kitchen Stage will feature the Farrelly Markiewicz Quartet, Unity (Cynthia Layne, Everett Greene, Steve Allee, Rob Dixon, Kenny Phelps and Frank Smith), Bill Lancton MG6, the Zack Lapidus Herbie Hancock Tribute and a Seven Pleasures reunion concert.

Find tickets, information and the entire 10-day lineup at indyjazzfest.net.

Tickets are $17; $5 of every cover will benefit the Indianapolis jazz education programs.

Performance lineups and schedules are subject to change.
