Three authors to speak during Marshall Library ‘Author Month’

News Release

MARSHALL, ILL. — April is “Author Month” at the Marshall (Illinois) Public Library, and three authors, two of whom are Marshall residents, will present programs about their recently published books.

Steven Lloyd Rogers of Dennison, Ill., will present “Ravenous Revive,” the second book in his “Ravenous” series, at 6:30 p.m. on April 4 at the library. Books will be available for purchase following his program. Rogers’ science fiction novels are about a dangerous life spent battling vicious creatures on the first Mars colony.

Rogers has been an avid sci-fi fan since childhood, when his father worked nights and would read a bedtime story. The “Ravenous” series is the first of these stories to be brought to the public.

The next two author visits in April will be “Lincoln’s Ladder to the Presidency: the Eighth Judicial Circuit,” by Guy C. Fraker at 6:30 p.m. on April 25, and “Déjà Vu: Treasured Memories of an Old Country Boy,” by Marshall’s Joe McCammon at 1 p.m. on April 27.
