Covered Bridge Art Association Membership Show on display

— The Covered Bridge Art Association’s Associate Membership Show is on display in the gallery in Rockville. Gail Overpeck of Speedway, a graduate of Herron School of Art, a retired art teacher and a member of the Watercolor Society of Indiana, judged the show.
Among the awards (ribbons and monetary) presented:
• Best of Show ($100)
“Branching Grandeur,” wood, by Deborah Ann Anderson of Carbon
• First place ($50)
“Above the Falls,” a watercolor, by Jane Dusanic of Terre Haute
“The Eyes Have It,” an acrylic, by Karen A. LeVan of Center Point
“Lillies,” a photo by Jim McMullen of Terre Haute
• Second place ($25)
“Pow-Wow,” a collage by Laura Mason of Terre Haute
“Autumn Blaze,” a photo by Rob Robbins of Terre Haute
• Third place ($10)
“Night Owl,” pyrography and acrylic on basswood by Monty Jones of Terre Haute
“Meeting of the Minds,” a pastel by Jane Lubbehusen of Terre Haute
“Around the Bend,” a photo by Rob Robbins of Terre Haute
A reception, honoring the artists, will be 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 3.
Parke County artists’ work is also on display. The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
