TERRE HAUTE July 06, 2007 12:36 am

The colts have arrived. Not the football team, but much smaller, lighter fiberglass colts as part of a fund-raising project for the Sheldon Swope Art Museum designed to capitalize on Indianapolis Colts fever.
About 30 of the fiberglass colts, painted by Wabash Valley artists and organizations, started appearing in downtown Terre Haute just before July 1. The colts, measuring 4 1/2 feet tall, 4 feet long and 11 inches wide, will be on display until the end of the Indianapolis Colts training camp in mid August. The public art project will end with an auction of the colt sculptures Sept. 8 at ISU's Memorial Stadium.
