U.S. 36 bridge over Raccoon Lake restricted to one lane

Traffic will be controlled with a temporary traffic signal

PARKE COUNTY – A bridge deck replacement project on U.S. 36 over Raccoon Lake is restricting traffic to one lane over the bridge at a time controlled by a temporary traffic signal.

The restriction should be lifted Sept. 30 of this year. The plan is to paint the bridge next year with a completion date in June 2014.

Schutt-Lookabill Co. was awarded the $2.2 million bridge deck replacement contract.

The work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather.

INDOT reminds motorists to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
