Mark Lewandowski, an associate professor of English at Indiana State University, will present “Views of the Acropolis” as the next lecture in the Richard Landini Speaker Series.
“Views of the Acropolis” is a series of vignettes, observations and short narratives inspired by Lewandowski’s travels to Greece last year. He has been recognized for his work in travel writing and essay writing, and he has received a nomination for a Pushcart Prize. His global experience also includes serving as a teacher trainer for the Peace Corps in Poland and as a Fulbright scholar in Lithuania.
Lewandowski, who teaches creative writing, earned his master of fine arts degree at Wichita State University. He has taught at Xavier University, the University of Cincinnati and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is the author of “Halibut Rodeo,” a collection of stories about Alaska and dozens of works of short fiction and creative nonfiction.
The presentation will take place at 3:30 p.m. on March 28 in Root Hall A-264, ISU.
