Mr. and Mrs. David Brown
David and Elaine Brown of Center Point will celebrate their 50th anniversary during an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, in Center Point United Methodist Church.
The couple were married on June 13, 1964, in Zion United Church of Christ in Poland.
The Browns are lifelong farmers. He also is retired from Pfizer Inc. in Terre Haute. She is a retired schoolteacher and Clay County Extension agent.
Hosts will be the couple’s two children, Kim (and Michael) Day of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Chad (and Mary) Brown of Center Point; and their six grandchildren.

Emma and James E. Dodson Sr. celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2014.
The couple were honored during a party in the Holiday Inn. Hosts were their son, James Jr. and wife
Deborah; and their daughter, Teri Evans and husband Jim.

John W. and Diane (Donna) Scott observed their 50th wedding anniversary on June 14, 2014. They celebrated June 13 during a party in the Indiana Theatre in Terre Haute.
The Scotts were married on June 14, 1964, in the Presbyterian Church at Clinton.They owned and operated Scott Oil Inc. in Clinton for 50 years.
The couple have one son, Brent Allen Scott and Cristi Lynn (Montgomery) Scott; and two grandchildren, Abigail Marie Scott and Ryan Angelo Scott.

Mr. and Mrs. William Ray Smith of Terre Haute will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary during a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. on June 22 in the barn at Fowler Park.
Friends and relatives are invited. Cards are welcome.
Smith and the former Wanda Louise Nees of Ashboro were married on June 25, 1949.
The couple have two sons, Barton Ray Smith and Bradley Dean Smith, both of Terre Haute; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
