Mr. and Mrs. Dean R. Miller

Mr. and Mrs. Dean R. Miller of Terre Haute will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, April 8, 2011.

The Millers were married April 8, 1961, in Avondale Baptist Church at Washington, D.C.

Mrs. Miller, the former Janet Shank, is a homemaker.

Miller retired in November 1987 after 30 years with the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

The couple have three children, Keith Miller of Indianapolis, Ruth Lynn Marsh and husband Geoff of Spring Arbor, Mich., and the late Stephen Miller. They also have two grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Gary L. Isle Sr.

Mr. and Mrs. Gary L. Isle Sr. of Terre Haute will observe their 50th wedding anniversary April 16, 2011, during a family celebration in Zionsville and a trip to the Smoky Mountains.

The couple were married April 15, 1961, in Collingdale, Pa., during his tour in the Navy.

Mrs. Isle, the former Virginia Hovis, is retired from Hallmark Cards at The Meadows shopping center. Isle is retired from the safety department at Hercules/AET Inc. after 38 years.

The couple have two sons, Gary Isle Jr. and wife Lauri of Mishawaka and Timothy Isle and wife Marla of Zionsville. They also have one granddaughter.
