Mr. and Mrs. Earl Robert Yegerlehner will celebrate 70 years of marriage with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, in the First United Church of Christ, three miles east of Clay City on Indiana 246, then one-half mile north on 300 East (County Line Road).

Family and friends are invited for refreshments in the fellowship hall. It is requested that gifts be omitted, but cards may be sent to 3865 S. County Road 200 East, Clay City, IN 47841.

The couple were united in marriage by the Rev. Harry Bredeweg on Aug. 15, 1943, in St. Peter’s Evangelical and Reformed Church, now the First United Church of Christ. He is a retired farmer. Mrs. Yegerlehner, the former Imogene Margaret Brown, is a homemaker.

Hosts will be the couple’s children, Mary Alice (and Larry) Sharp of Seymour, Don (and Jan) Yegerlehner of Clay City, Ruthann (and Jim) Mishler of Terre Haute and Jeanne (and Dean) Barnett of Evansville. The couple also have nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
